Simple Method of How to Install Android OS on PC- Windows/ Mac/ Linux

As you know already, Android OS is usually used on phones. You can install an Android on your smart phone, Symbian phone or any other device. People don’t usually install Android on their PCs. However, lately lots of persons wondered how will the computer run with an Android installed on it.

Well, since Androids were developed particularly for smart phones, they should not be installed on computers. However, you never know what benefits you can get having on your PC installed an Android.

So, in the following lines, we are going to talk about the method and the steps that must be followed in order to have an Android on our PC, no matter what kind of operating system we are using, be it Windows, Linux or Mac.

An extremely simple method that should be used for installing Androids on your PC is through Virtual Box. So, let’s see what Virtual Box is.

Installing Android OS on computer through Virtual Box

Virtual Box is a software developed by Oracle. This software allows  a person to install another operating system on an OS host, without necessarily dealing with the booting system. This software will take control over the booting and it will allow the person to verify the OS without necessarily having to install it.

You’ve probably tried before to install two different operating systems on your PC. You had two options back then: the first one was through dual-boot while the second one was via Virtual Box. Since the dual-boot method is a bit troublesome due to the difficulty, the second one is simpler and easier.

Android operating system can be easily installed on your PC using the method Virtual Box. It is extremely simple, and you don’t have to follow too much long and boring steps.

With this method there will be no bugs on your computer and you will be able to install Android OS on your Windows, Mac or Linux any time you want.

How to install Android OS on your PC (Windows/ Mac/ Linux) easily

There are some steps to follow for this method. However, the sole Android available now for installing on your computer or PC is Android 4.0.4 OS. For the moment, this is the best Android that we have at our disposal.

If you will follow the steps, which will be mentioned below, you will be able to install on your PC the Android OS that you want;

1. In the first place, download VirtualBox on your PC. However, make sure that the version you are going to download in your computer is 100% compatible with the operating system that you are currently running. After VirtualBox is downloaded, you will have to install it into your computer. It will not take too long, and it is extremely simple.

2. Go to VMLite. From there, you will have to download into your computer Android 4.0.4 OS. You must ensure that your internet connection runs at a high-speed. This Android has 88 MB so if you don’t want to spend too much time waiting for the download to be completed, make sure that the speed is comfortable.

3. Once the download of the Android is completed, you will have to extract the file. Within that file you will find another file named  “Android-v4.vbox”. You will have to double-click on it. The file will be opened directly in VirtualBox.

4. In VirtualBox, you are going to search for a Start button. After you click on it the installation of your Android OS will start.

This is all you will have to do. The rest depends entirely on how performing your computer is and how fast it is running. However, don’t worry, even with a low performance computer your Android OS will be installed, eventually.

As it was mentioned above, this method works pretty well only on operating systems as Windows, Linux or Mac. If you have one of these installed on your PC, soon enough you will be able to enjoy your Android OS, and not just some Android OS, but the Android 4.0.4 OS.

You will see that the benefits of using this OS will not be late to show. Let us know what advantages will bring Android OS for all users.

There are many methods available in the market to install Android on your computer. I’m going to illustrate one of easiest method that can be done in no time. Download a framework and Android operating system is installed in this context. The framework is the Oracle Virtual Machine, Virtual machine allows the user to install multiple operating systems in a single operating system. Because virtual machine is available for Windows, Mac, Linux, Solaris, Android is compatible with most PC’s around the world. Follow these steps to install the Android operating system on your computer (Windows, Mac, Linux). So step 1: Download Android. I tested using Android 4.0.4 but you can download and install another version like jelly bean. Remove the droid 4.0.4 and double-click VM Lite-Android -v4.0.4.vbox and and click Start to install Android on your computer. It will take some time depending on the speed of your computer. Open Virtualbox and select New from the menu, and select Enter credentials, type: Linux, version: Linux other, click Next and enter in minimum space of 1 GB of RAM, 1 GB of hard disk space (or dynamic allocation or fixed) and click Next. Now go to the virtual device configuration and select a box that will appear. Now goto storage, storage tree, empty and in the attribute section on the right hand side select iso 4.2 or 4.3 android that you’ve downloaded and tested in live CD/DVD and click OK. Start the Virtual Machine and select Android – x 86 in hard disks, partitions to create/modify following screen. Create a new bootable partition and select Write and select resigned after the write. Now install 4.x android in sda1, type as ext3 and install grub. Remove ISO VirtualBox and restart the Virtual Box. You should then be able to boot with the Android operating system.

This is great! I must go for this, could you tell me why Android is a marvelous Operating System for mobile devices particularly smartphones? Nonetheless, we all similarly recognize that Android is fabricated on Linux modules and over the past years, we have been installing and running Linux on many computers. Surely, Android is no exception; Though it has been precisely developed for smartphones, a little tactic can straightforwardly be used to install and run Android 4.0.4 OS on some computers using the Windows Operating System, for example; Windows XP or Windows 7. I know you may be wondering the reason for all these, just try installing the Android 4.0.4 and you will be answered!
